SILVER HOMEOSTASIS PREMIX

SILVER HOMEOSTASIS PREMIX

This mineral mixture, which can be classified as a mineral feed, is designed to balance stomach pH. In addition to ruminants, Silver Homeostasis is also beneficial for horses and other herbivores. Magnesium oxide and sodium bicarbonate react with stomach acid (hydrochloric acid, HCl), helping neutralize acidity and increase stomach pH. This protects animals from the risk of acidosis.

While neutralizing stomach acid, it can also enhance intestinal motility and alleviate constipation. This effect supports the retention of water in the intestines, softening stools and facilitating their passage. Sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, and potassium chloride, combined with sodium bicarbonate, are crucial compounds for maintaining the electrolyte balance of the metabolism. Balancing electrolytes is vital in cases of constipation, acidosis, enteritis, and poisoning in animals.

Expected to stabilize the pH levels of both the stomach and blood, this product has been successfully used for many years. There is a significant difference between magnesium oxide and sodium bicarbonate: while both increase pH, magnesium oxide acts as a pH buffer for up to one week, whereas the effect of sodium bicarbonate diminishes after one day. In Silver Homeostasis, these ratios have been carefully adjusted alongside electrolyte sources.

The product is highly effective during feed transitions, accelerated fattening periods, and for animals that have traveled long distances by vehicle or on foot. Moreover, this composition noticeably increases the dry matter content of milk. Using it to enhance the efficiency of dairy products, improve milk taste, and raise its Brix value is an excellent and successful approach.

CONTENTS
MAGNESIUM

Plays an important role in the conversion of sugar in the blood to energy. It increases the dry matter in milk. It acts as a buffer in rumen acidosis. It is necessary for the effective utilization of Vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and potassium. Deficiency can lead to grass tetany (hypomagnesemia), causing a slowdown in rumen movements and milk production

POTASSIUM

One of the vital minerals. About 98% of potassium in the body is found within cell walls. Potassium helps maintain water balance in the body alongside sodium and facilitates the passage of nutrients into cells. One of potassium’s important functions is transmitting messages in the nervous system. Deficiency can result in general developmental delays, decreased productivity, and irregular heartbeats

SODIUM

This mineral is very important for the continuity of nerve and muscle functions. Its main role is to ensure the pumping of fluids and the passage of nutrients through cell membranes. Deficiency can lead to disruptions in water balance and productivity traits. However, excess sodium can cause similar problems, so it is recommended to use it as needed (ad libitum)

CALCIUM

This mineral is largely found in bones and is involved in all functions within the body. It plays a vital role in milk production, nerve transmission, bone development, and all types of transitions across cell membranes. Deficiency can lead to milk fever, parturient paresis, a metabolic disease known as hypocalcemia, and developmental delays.
